Over the last couple of years I’ve gradually been learning the best way to buy, keep, and cook food. Fruits and vegetables are tough due to their rapid expiration date. But thank you, noble celery, who will crisp up after an hour submerged in water. It doesn’t matter that you are five days old, soon you will be as good as new again. And the spicy hummus awaits you. If only broccoli was as loyal to my eating habits. (It goes soft so soon!)

Now I have pears and kiwi hanging out on my countertop. I have to squeeze them twice a day, or else I’ll forget about them until they’ve gone completely soft. It’s like having children, seriously. So much responsibility! *dramatic sigh*
